Lessons of the Day

Today we learned two important lessons about what causes the Professor to go ape-shit, #1 Thunder and #2 Cats. Always the fearless puppy, when the Prof experienced his first thunderstorm he barked for one full minute and then rang the bell to go outside and find out what the hell that big noise was. Puppy class today went a million times better than last week. The Professor was able to pay attention, sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay as well attack the cat! Woodstock the "training cat" came to class to meet all the puppies. Everyone was able to sit while the cat approached except the Prof who whined, back-flipped and pounced on the cat. Good thing the "training cat" is trained not to attack dogs.

Pink Eye and The End of the Best Week Ever

The Professor went an entire week without any potty accidents including a weekend stay at Aunt Sarah's house. Unfortunately he came down a serious case of pink eye in his left eye today and the beginnings of conjunctivitis in his right eye. Clearly all that sniffing of other dogs butts and rubbing his face on the ground caused him to get bacteria in his eye. Now he enjoys being forced to hold still while we rub antibiotic goop in his eyes. Yay $90 for goop! He's also developing the unfortunate habit of "trashy mouth" where he picks up almost anything he can find on the ground and chews on it, meaning that we will probably be paying another $90 for a deworming visit any day now.
