Tour d'Davis

While the Professor couldn't come on the Tour d'Davis, too far, too many drunk people, accidents, and beer and dogs don't mix. He did get to come to the after party with his best friend Tumpy here they are making out in Sean's lap.

The Prof and The Femur

Last night the Professor got into a pretty bad dog fight at the park. He and another dog both wanted the same frisbee and when dogs become aggressive towards him he fights back, and boy did he fight back. When we finally separated the two the eat had a hold of the other, biting each others flanks and didn't want to let go. So to get him exercise we decided to go play with a nice dog who we know is always fun, Riff-Raff. Well Riff-Raff is a rescued German Shepard who doesn't always like his chew toys. In the bast he's given the Prof a giant bully stick and this visit he surrendered to the Prof an entire cow's femur bone. As you can see it's bigger than he is and he can't even lift it he just drags it around the livingroom and gnaws for hours on end.

Lake Berryessa

Two weeks ago the Prof went for a lovely hike to Lake Berryessa. Here he took on water fowl much bigger than ducks and probably bigger than himself, Canadian Geese.... with goslings. Again Sarah freaked out, afraid that the Prof would chase geese forever and finally crawl out of the lake on the other side only to go wild and live with a family of coyotes. Again I was prooven wrong and my puppy's love for me conquered his desire to run away. Once he got tired he responded to my desperated calls of "Professor Come!" and swam against the current home to mommy. (That little speck is his head) Then Stephan and Kati found a tennis ball and with my trust in the puppy renewed I let him off leash again to play some fetch in the lake. Later he decided to go say hello to some men in paddle boats who were kind enough to lead him back to shore. Next weekend we are planning a return trip to Point Isabelle with reenforcements in the form of Aunt Sarah, possibly the Professor's favorite person in the whole world.
